2020 Census Part-time Jobs Support – Activities in Your Area

These jobs are temporary and can last from a few weeks to several months, depending on the specific job. Most jobs have flexible hours (mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, all day) and all employees are paid weekly in the $14.50 – $16 an hour range ($16 in Mobile County). We try to keep each employee as close as possible to their own community since people tend to work better in a familiar environment. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a social security number, have a valid email address, have relliable transportation and be a U.S. citizen. Anyone interested in these jobs can simply go online and apply at www.2020census.gov/jobs.

I hope you can post this on your website and let everyone know about the events. If you have email/contact information for organizations, associations, churches, etc. you work with, I would appreciate it if you would share this information with them.

Thank you so much for your support. If you have any questions or suggestions, please let me know.

Sincerely,
David Hurst, Recruiting Assistant

2019 Cool Change Fishing Trip

Captain Joe and Cindy Nash of Cool Change Charters in Orange Beach hosted their annual Gulf fishing trip as a fundraiser for the Christian Service Center.  All proceeds for the day were given to the Center to assist families in need.  It was a great day of fellowship and fishing for red snapper. In addition to Captain Nash hosting the trip, Zekes Marina donated the fuel for the day, J&M Tackle donated the bait and Clean Boats donated cleaning service for the boat.

The Christian Service Center is a “Hand Up” rather than a “Hand Out” agency. Clients are given immediate emergency aid as well as guidance on finding solutions to their problems. The CSC is a 100% volunteer agency funded by the churches of Pleasure Island, various community organizations, including the United Way of Baldwin County, and interested individuals. For more information please call the CSC at 251-968-5256 or visit www.cscgs.com.
